I started my SEO journey in 2017. At the time, I was in college and looking for ways to earn money online 💸. While searching, I found many ways, but none of them worked.
After scraping the internet, I came across many new terms, such as Blogging, Digital Marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Social Media Marketing (SMM), and Affiliate Marketing.
I was fascinated by SEO and wanted to learn more, so I watched many videos on YouTube, read blogs & Twitter threads, and followed many people who were good at it. After learning it, I didn’t have a clear idea of how to implement these.
So, I started a blog named Dumbhacker.com (by the way, someone is selling this for $6,095 now 😂), my first domain name purchase. I implemented everything I learned online and got first-hand experience. A few months later, I was getting results, which motivated me to learn more.
After that, I started a few more projects, like Thetrendyard.com (an e-commerce store selling Billie Eilish merchandise—I’m not a big fan, but it was trendy at the time 😅), Generatorbeast.com (an Amazon affiliate marketing blog), and a few more.
Thanks to all these projects, I could do multiple experiments and see what works and what doesn’t. This also helped me get my first job, and I was able to work with some great companies and help them with their SEO.
After 4+ years of learning and executing things practically, I have learned that there is no shortcut. If you want to get results and grow online, you must put out high-value content and do many experiments on your own.
